Lap's Grocery & Grill - The Causeway Cobb

One pleasant Sunday afternoon in February, the LCD and family had a great lunch at Lap's Grocery & Grill on the causeway. We sat outside on the deck and enjoyed a nice view of the bay; the chill in the air was helped by one of those big propane patio heaters which the server kindly brought to our table.

Of course, in choosing a low-carb dish at a seafood place, one usually finds luck on the grilled menu or in the salads. The Causeway Cobb salad sounded good to me, and it was indeed a fine choice.

Description from their menu:
"Smoked chicken and grilled shrimp, crumbled bacon, sliced avocado, tomato, hardboiled egg, croutons, alfalfa sprouts & bleu cheese crumbles on a bed of mixed greens."

I'll likely do this one again the next time I visit Lap's, and I think you should, too. How can you go wrong with avocado?

Total carbs: Not many
